Elizabeth was born in Iowa, moving to Amarillo Texas when she very young. She graduated nursing school from Amarillo College and worked for many years in Dallas, Texas.
She moved to Albuquerque in 1991 with her family. She attended UNM for her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing. She decided to pursue her Adult Nurse Practitioner degree from Saint Louis University, St. Louis Missouri and competed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from University of Iowa in Iowa City.
She joined Renal Medicine Associates in 2001. She has been active in the American Nephrology Nursing Association with just completing a two year role as the Research Chair. She was the Primary Investigator for the Hemodialysis Catheter Outcomes Study with no dressing coverage and randomized prescribed showering.
She has been a sub primary investigator/study coordinator for several studies at Renal Medicine. And has been very actively involved in the annual nephrology nursing symposium sponsored by Renal Medicine.
Elizabeth enjoys walking/jogging, arts and crafts and spending time with her family (husband, son and daughter). She enjoys the beautiful outdoor New Mexico climate and activities.
