Leslie Dork, Nurse Practitioner, was born in Ohio.
Leslie received a B.S.in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles, in 1979. She received a Masters of Science in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from California State University, Los Angeles, in 1992.
She worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for University of New Mexico Hospital in the Medical Intensive Care Unit until 2000, when she joined Hospital Care Specialists, providing care to hospitalized patients at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque as an advanced practice nurse.
She completed the post-Masters’ Nurse Practitioner program at Saint Louis University in 2002. She is completing her doctorate in nursing practice, also from Saint Louis University.
Leslie joined Renal Medicine Associates in 2001, where she has cared for chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and hospitalized patients. She is a member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association and their research committee; the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association; Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society of nursing; and the Medical Review Board of End Stage Renal Disease Network 15.
Leslie received the state award for Excellence in NP Clinical Practice from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2012. She is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner.
